About Me

Hi! My name is Julia. I live in Carlsbad, California, with my husband and our two pups, Phoenix and Doug.

I was diagnosed with a rare lung disease called Lymphangieolieomyomatosis, aka LAM Disease in the spring of 2017 after multiple "spontaneous" lung collapses. Over the past 5 years, I've had a handful or two of surgeries, and I always found it helpful to read or hear about other people's experiences that were in the same boat. In particular, I enjoyed reading about those with illnesses who kept living their life to the fullest, healthy living tips and just general fun-loving content, so I thought I'd share and recall some of my previous experiences to help those who may have to go through a similar experience and share my journey in the next chapter of my life.
